Rayne Spencer, Grade 3, Washington Elementary

Rayne recently completed her undergraduate work at Eastern Oregon University.  Having done her student teaching in our district last year, made her an easy choice to move into a full-time position for the current year.  Like so many of our staff, Rayne was born and raised in this area.  “For as long as I can remember, my long term goal was to attend college and return home to work alongside the community and tribal members that have played an important role in my upbringing.”  She has appreciated the support that she has received as a first-year teacher and as well as the people with whom she works with.  Rayne enjoys softball and recently learned to snowboard.  Look for Rayne on the slopes this winter!
